Environmental Issues In The Cities.
Human population size has grown enormously over the last hundred years this means increasing demand for food water, home, electricity, roads, automobiles, and numerous other commodities.
These demands are exiting tremendous pressure on our natural resources, and I also contribute to pollution of air, water, and soil.Environmental Issues such as pollution, radioactive waste, greenhouse effect and global warming are harmful effects of human activities on the biological environment.
The primary current environmental issues in the cities
In modern world pollution of water and air, radiant waste and greenhouse effect are numerous Environmental Issues. I would like to discuss the problem in detail to raise awareness of the possible future consequences and actions we can take up against them.
1 . Pollution
Pollution is an undesirable change in physical, chemical and biological character characteristics of air and water and soil.
We are dependent on air for our respiratory needs; air pollutants cause injury to all living organisms, they reduce growth and yield of crops and premature death of plants air pollutants also deleteriously affect the respiratory system of human and animals too. [Harmful effect depends on the concentration of pollution, duration of exposure and organism].
Air pollution caused by some reasons mainly by the industries, crackers comma due to the automobile etc. In 1990 Delhi ranked IV among the 41 most polluted cities in the world for this the Government of India thought and new out of fuel policy has let out a roadmap to cut down vehicle pollution in India cities.
Human beings have been abusing the water bodies. Around The World by disposing into them all kinds of waste due to some Hill activities by the human beings the pons comma lakes, stream, rivers and oceans are becoming polluted in several parts of the World releasing the importance of maintaining the cleaners of the water bodies. The Government of India passed the water (tension and control of pollution act 1974 to safeguard our water resources).
Radiation that comes out of by nuclear waste is hugely damaging the organisms because it causes mutation at a very high rate it has been recommended that storage of nuclear wastes after sufficient pretreatment should be done in suitable sealed containers within the rocks, about 500 m deep below the Earth surface.
Greenhouse effect and global warming
The term greenhouse effect has been derived from a phenomenon that occurs in a Greenhouse the greenhouse effect is a naturally occurring phenomenon that is responsible for the healing of Earth’s surface And Atmosphere.
The increase in the level of greenhouse gases has led to considerable heating of leading to global warming during the past fast centuries the temperature of the earth has increased by 0.1 degree Celsius scientists believe that this rise in temperature is leading to deleterious changes in the environment and resulting in our climate changes.
Environmental Issues are a pervasive and vivid problem all over the world. But it doesn’t mean we can’t stop it from getting worse. It would be helpful if everyone implemented the changes listed below into their daily life.
Things we can do to reduce pollution
– Cut down on using vehicles and tools releasing poisonous fumes
– DO NOT flush the greasy food leftovers, harmful chemicals or non-degradable waste in the sink or toilet
– DO NOT water plants with polluted water
– Store the radiant and electronic waste such as batteries, phones or computers out of order in places especially prepared for them (nowadays every electronic store should have a point where you can bring broken devices for proper utilisation)
